A stubborn man and a hermit walk into a bar is a group exhibition that reflects on isolation, resistance, hope, transition, and disappointment as manifestations of human construction (and destruction).

Co-curated by CO,MA, PEANA, and Joseph del Pesco, the exhibition takes place at the Casa/Estudio Nancarrow, designed by Juan O’Gorman in 1950. A stubborn and a hermit walk into a bar honors the endearing friendship between these two radical thinkers and creators. Visionaries who did not fear the consequences of correcting their course or expressing their ideals. On the contrary, they participated and experimented within various social circles and artistic mediums, ranging from war, architecture, painting, to music –all with the will to improve the social conditions of humanity.
