PEANA is pleased to announce Withdrawal, a solo exhibition by Tomás Díaz Cedeño curated by Gaby Cepeda.
This show delves into primordial narratives, myths, and rituals that continue to cling to the technocratic surface of the present. Díaz Cedeño interweaves his ongoing interest in fountains and (dys)functional water systems with the ritual potency of gushes, drips, and streams—movements that still manage to awaken the subconscious. Through a body of work that stretches and distorts familiar architectural forms, the exhibition navigates the tension between desire and control, nature and system. The result is a landscape that unsettles the glorification of efficiency, hygiene, and surveillance, revealing an inherently human space shaped by flow, rupture, and latent memory.
